ADULTS AT BIBLE EFC

Our Mission: Bible Evangelical Free Church exists to honor God first in Tomah and then throughout the world by making disciples of Jesus Christ who are and are becoming convinced by him, changed to be like him, called to his priorities and committed to loving relationships. (Mark 12:28-33)

Throughout the year

MONTHLY PRAYER TIME

Join a member of our Pastoral staff the second Monday of the month at 6 PM for a time of prayer. Prayer is so important, so why not do it together.

MEN'S NO REGRETS CONFERENCE

Men are invited to join a group of men for the in-person conference.  This is the first weekend in February.  Here is a link to the No Regrets site to learn more. Let us know if you are interested or have questions.

WOMEN'S CHRISTMAS TEA

Women are invited each year to our Christmas Tea.  This year's tea is December 1 at 7 PM.

FAMILY PROMISE

Family Promise is a non-profit organization that helps families in homeless situations.  Bible EFC is a Host Church and our mission is to come along side the families in the program.  We are part of a rotation of other hosts churches. Families stay in our building a couple times a year and we jump in those weeks.  We provide meals, a safe place to sleep and conversation.  There are many volunteer needs during our host weeks so watch announcements and the foyer when we approach our host weeks to see how you can get involved. Our Host weeks in 2023 are Jan 22-29, March 12-18, May 7-13, Aug 6-12 and Dec 3-10.

COLLISION

Join us for the Annual Collision Class. We will meet all four Wednesdays in May from 6-7:30 PM.  Each year we talk through different subjects that are results of when the secular world collides with our faith. We also have Kids' Collision too. We offer child care and this way children that are old enough, are able to have fun and learn on a kid level. Registration for this year's Collision series will be available in the spring.

CHURCH FAMILY GATHERINGS

What is a church family gathering? We consider the body of Christ our family and we want to get together with our family.  We feel it is important to get together a couple times a year, outside of our worship services.  This allows the Church Leadership to give ministry updates, for the congregation to ask questions and for us to have discussion about different topics throughout the year.  Sometimes we have items that need to be voted on.

Everyone is invited to these gatherings.  They are potluck style and children are welcome. There is no official childcare offered so parents are responsible for their children.

We will have one on August 27, 2023 at 6 PM, we will be voting on our Senior Pastor Succession Plan.  There will be a Q&A on Aug 20 at 11:45 to ask questions about it.

We will have one in January 2024 & May 2024. Watch for details and potential agendas & voting items as we get closer.

adult ministry in the summer

DAYSERVES

Each summer we try to find ways to serve the community.  This summer we are serving the J1 students that are working at Jellystone for the summer. Keep an eye on the Bible EFC- Adult Facebook group to more details.  We have an event on July 10 & August 21

CHURH SOFTBALL

Join Bible EFC's softball team.  This is a co-ed team that is part of the Christian Fellowship Co-ed League. Games are usually Tuesdays, but the schedule should be verified soon. Practice starts in May and games begin the week of Memorial Day. Stop at the Connection Point after Easter to sign up or sign up online

SUNSHINE CAMP

We have had the opportunity the last few summers to take a group of people to Kentucky to serve at Sunshine Camp. Sunshine Camp is for campers with mental and/or physical disabilities. Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ is our primary objective and daily chapel services include music, skits, and Bible lessons. Sunshine campers enjoy all the recreational activities that Youth Haven has to offer, including paddle boats, horses, swimming pool, gymnasium, and other indoor and outdoor games. Let us know if you are interested in going down this summer.

BAPTISM SERVICE

We have one baptism service each year.  We hold the service outdoors.  Let us know if you are interested in being baptized or if you would like to learn more about it. Our next baptism service & potluck will be held on June 25, 2023.

SERVING OPPORTUNITIES by gift

We recently did a series on Spiritual Gifts.  Our small groups used Dr. Wagner's survey and definitions of the gifts.

We thought through different ways people can serve the church body.  As a result, we compiled a list of volunteer opportunities and organized them by the different spiritual gifts.

Feel free to look at each list and let us know if you are interested in learning more or jumping in for any of this opportunities.
